Following my usual pattern, a flurry of posts in May and then nothing. As usual, it’s because I’m dealing with a momentary obsession  that might take a different turn.

For no reason other than “It sounds fun”, I’ve been working on my own supplement, of sorts, to Barrows and Borderlands. One thing I’m finding is that the rules are truly Old School in that a lot of stuff is unexplained or missing, and not in a “rulings not rules” way, but in a “we needed an editor” way. Like, there’s several mentions of effects if a character is encumbered, but there is no system of determining when you are encumbered, as near as I can tell. (So I wrote one. Why not?)

So now I’m pondering my own Old School system, with blackjack! And hookers! But I’ve got two other WiPs and I don’t need a third. Bother.

In any event, GenCon is next week so I should have some new material to dissect.
