  1. My players hated Bubble Men, but it was a good hate, a satisfying hate. At least for a GM. I think we played them that any damage at all would pop them, but looking back on it that makes them having any hit dice pointless. Nowadays I’d probably make them an intelligent species and let them use weapons, only blowing up if they’re fatally wounded. Ah, who am I kidding, I still love the idea of them gently bobbing down the corridor and having the party quickly sheath all their weapons and pull their cloaks over any spiky bits…

  2. Too bad kids today don’t know their obscure past cultural references, or you could have made a Moondoggie joke in this post.

    BTW, horseshoe crabs do indeed have copper-based blood. Not mammals, but it’s something.
