Octoguar (Infected)

What do you get when cross a jaguar, an octopus, and the Borg? An Infected Octoguar. Read on!

Octoguar

On the Abyssal layer known as The Jungle Of Gears, a strange force known in obscure legend as "The Machine God" has begun to infect the creatures there with a strange plague, causing them to take on unusual mechanical traits. An Octoguar is a perfectly normal abyssal animal, something a jaguar whose body sprouts eight eternally writhing tentacles lined with bony teeth. It is a silent stalker of they Abyss's many jungle levels. This creature adds a hideous buzzsaw tongue to the mix, as well as being resistant to anything which might control its mind (other than the power of its maker, of course). Its strange internal anatomy of flesh and gears, of blood and oil, renders it resistant to attacks which might cause it to bleed, burn, or corrode. 

Despite its odd form, it acts more or less as it always has -- it prowls for prey, hiding and then attacking when it has the advantage, then returning to normal.

(Remove the Buzzsaw tongue, the saving throw bonues, and drop AC by 2 to create a "normal" Octoguar.)

Shadowy Hide (move; recharge 4) • Shadow

The Octoguar shifts 1 and may make a Stealth check to hide. It can do this only in regions of dim light or darkness.

+22 vs. Reflex; 4d8 + 7 and target is grabbed.

May be used only if the Octoguar is hidden.

Ravaging Bite (standard; encounter)

Grabbed target only; +24 vs. AC; 4d10 + 7 and target is slowed (save ends).

Buzzsaw Tongue (standard; at-will)

Range 10; +25 vs. AC; 3d6 + 8 and ongoing 10 damage (save ends).

A whirling blade shoots from the creature's mouth, causing bleeding wounds.
